ADAA offers annual membership scholarships to students and early career professionals who identify as members of the BIPOC community.

The BIPOC Membership Scholarship Award aims to increase the diversity of our membership and therefore the diversity of those in attendance to our annual ADAA conference. This program allows early career professionals and students from underrepresented backgrounds in science who identify as Black, Indigenous, or as a person of color to participate in an evidence-based, interdisciplinary, and mission driven organization bringing the latest in scientific advancement to our professional and public communities.
ADAA's professional community opens the door to enhancing leadership skills and to learning from and networking with a diverse international peer community of mental health professionals and students committed to making a difference in the lives of those struggling with anxiety disorders and depression.
This opportunity offers one-year ADAA Memberships to graduate degree students (MD, MPH, MS/MSW, NP, PhD, PsyD), interns, residents, postdoctoral fellows, or early career professionals of color who focus on anxiety or depression, and related disorders. Along with this membership, awardees will receive discounted registration to the 2024 ADAA Annual Conference.

Applications should be submitted by 11:59 pm ET, Tuesday, December 12, 2023. Recipients will be notified January 2023.

Our commitment to be a culturally diverse membership organization is founded on the principle and practice of prohibiting discrimination based on race, color, religion, national origin, disability, sex, age, sexual orientation, marital status, personal appearance, gender identify or expression. To this end, ADAA is committed to providing an environment at all levels in which our diverse members can learn, network, and share information freely with their colleagues.
