Inclusion Revolution Radio Welcomes Jennifer Hansen and Dr. Mercy Ng’eno of Special Olympics Young Athletes

Podcast host Novie Craven welcomes Jennifer Hansen and Dr. Mercy Ng’eno from Special Olympics Young Athletes on Inclusion Revolution Radio. Jennifer Hansen has worked for Special Olympics for over 10 years in multiple roles and now works as the Senior Manager of Young Athletes. Dr. Mercy Ng’eno is a consultant for Special Olympics and a pediatric cardiologist. Her background and expertise have been specifically instrumental in supporting the Pediatric Screening project in which she oversees in her Pediatric Medical Advisor position for Young Athletes.

Young Athletes is an early childhood play program through Special Olympics for children with and without intellectual disabilities, ages two to seven years old. Young Athletes focus on motor skills; social, emotional, and learning skills; sport readiness; expectations; and acceptance. This program offers families, teachers, caregivers and people from the community the chance to share the joy of sports with all children.
