Special Olympics World Summer Games
The EU have once again supported the Special Olympics World Summer Games which took place in Berlin between the 17th and 25th June 2023. This grant focuses on supporting all the key elements of the Games—Sports, Athlete Leadership, Volunteering, Health with a view to making the Games as successful as possible. One of the key elements of this grant is to ensure a legacy from the project that will assist future Local Organising Committees (LOC) in their planning when hosting World Summer or Winter Games. Special Olympics will work with the LOC in Berlin in gathering the key recommendations from the Games.
